I think the thing that pisses me off about JL is the people who use it now that I think about it. Not saying all JL users are d-bags, but the JL people who don't know very much about audio are. Like your middle age white male who has no kids and no wife, so he has money. Even though he is a complete tool, he can afford JL, and then is a d-bag about it. Maybe it's the tools that think JL>everything who started this F JL trend.

This is honestly my sentiment too. It's the people who use JL and think it's the greatest gear on the planet and the attitude they have about it that annoys me the most.

Which is the same way I feel about AudioPipe. Lol. But on the opposite end of the spectrum (obviously).

How many people think Kicker comps are loud? A lot. Also my bubby in Belze pulled a 43 with a single 13W7 in a trunk off a HD1200(legal). So they can get up there if set up right.

I wouldn't even bother with an amp install for 130. I bet my OEM midbass can do 130 in the kick. Lol.

Honestly, I think anything over 140 in the 30's is legit. 145+ is loud.

I have a ridiculous, thrown in temp install in the loaner car I'm driving right now. Single 12" 6th order on ~ 2k. It does 46-47 in the 30's on music and it is really about all I need for daily. I wouldn't mind a bit more, but it would be just for a song or two every once in a while or demos. I don't listen to it that loud all the time.

The (4) 12W6 wall I built, and rebuilt and rebuilt on a pair of 1000/1's was juuuuust touching 150 and sounded like *** doing it. I would take responsibility for that if I hadn't done 5-6 rebuilds. They just didn't have it in them to get loud and sound good at the same time. Maybe I just expect too much from my woofers. but I don't think I do. I built a QW for an OA 15 and it was murdering that guy's setup in SQ and was **** close on output.

Another guy came to me with a pair of 10W7's. Sick ass woofers. I told him before hand that they weren't going to do what he wanted. He didn't listen. I built it. He was dissatisfied. I thought it sounded fantastic, but the output wasn't there. He came back a week later with some f'n L7 12's. Rebuild. He's pleased as punch now. Lol.

Yep. See mine isn't loud on the meter but it hurts your body almost. But I can play 20-55 hz full volume. When I got metered I was 145+ from 28 to 50 (didn't have anything that went past 28 or 50). It's louder now.

Why do people say this? What is "hating?" I thought that implied jealousy of some sort. If you mean in it a literal sense (i.e.- I hate your subs), then put me on the haters list too.

If you paid $100 for those subs (including gas) then you got robbed.
