I'm thinking about a SPL project.

Can you solve it?
My fiance never drives her car anywhere, so I'm thinking of taking her car and turning it into a spl vehicle. Its a 1993 Acura Integra hatchback. I've never really done an SPL setup so I wanted some opinions on what I should do. My company has a top-of-line woodshop, so I could build my own box. I'm pretty open to some crazy ideas. I was thinking of doing a multi 15, or even 18 inch setup or a really high quantity of 8's. I really want to get up to mid 140's or even the 150 mark. I don't want to spend a ton as its just a side project. What would be decent price subs and amps that I could get to start hitting higher numbers? Mid range, highs? Yeah, I don't care if they are even installed :p I just want to do a boom vehicle LOL

Thanks for some tips and advice, its appreciated.

how much do u want to spend on an 18 i have one that might be goin up for sale soon
I have no budget yet....just thought this up while sitting here. She lets her car sit so much that the battery is always dead, so why not add some subs //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

So what are you selling?

What is the address for the Fi's? I've never looked at them before. 499 isn't bad at all. If they get LOUD then one would work. Box size, whatever would be best.

first off my friend let me tell you. Start by sound deading the car keep the sound inside type of deal, i would try the FI subs they seem to be a new hit lately at a resonable price, and there build quality looks very superb, make sure your electrical system is at its finest try to feed your amps as much current through your wires by going big on power and ground wire. Two 15's or 18's would be nice in that hatchback.

I plan to put deadener (? is that the way to spell that? Looks messed up LOL) on the top of my list. Also I will look at upgrading the alt, big 3 and battery. Like I said really for me this is just something to do. Maybe I will take this to a show or two, but the car is old and not in the best of shape. I like caraudio so learning about this area would be cool because I have always been more into SQ. I do appreciate everyone giving me advice.

Checking out FI now.
