I'm thinkin of settling on 2 mach 5 spl 12"s

I've been thinkin about how I should proceed, and I'm thinkin the best way would be to just pick up another Mach 5 spl 12" . I'm lookin for a loud daily beater, that does'nt do to bad on the meter either.

Its basically between the 2 12"s or 2 15" dc lvl 4's with lvl 5 coils... The thing is the dc lvl 4's would cost quite a bit more , and be a little harder to fit in my trunk.

Setup is 2 sundown 1500's , with 1 mach 5 spl 12" currently... Any opinions? BTW the single 12" did 143 with ~1600 rms at 48 hz today... so I'm hoping it will atleast be 145's if I toss another 12" with it.

I couldent tell ya, just took out the center piece between the 2 flared port ends... so it was super high.

ohhhh. well do like what u have do u feel that if u went with another sub would it be worth it. i find when u do some kind of upgrade its cool to do a 360 and try some new stuff.

I think your goal with another 12" mach is reasonable. Very nice subs that take an assload of abuse. Ive actually put 10kw to my 12" before //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif .... still works just fine!

Why dont you strap the other 1500 and send your single 12 3k? If you just wand a DB or two louder it woudl be mor impressive with one sub, ask snoopdan if he thinks a 12" could be run daily with 3k.

Ya I went ahead and purchased a motor + basket + recone kit. So its going to be 2 Mach 5 SPL's with 2 sundown 1500's strapped @ 1ohm... If it does mid 40's on music I will be happy...

just for future reference, you dont need level 5 coils for 1500 watts on the dc's.

Im really tempted to get a mach5 spl...

aww..what you need to do is hook up with PA, and we can get you 150's plus...

I mean. really. You have 3000 wrms..2 12's..AND A HATCH..

That definitely = 150DB plus

Troy is hitting a 153DB, IN a 2 cu.ft box with 1 15, 4000 wrms.

Pat is hitting a 156DB with 2 15's, 5000 wrms. Under window line, in a SPORTRAC!

oh, and my shit hit a 147.6 in the kick on music! Tuned @ 34 hz...

Sealed did a 145.3 on the dash sealed..on music.

Lol, No thanks. Nothing against Power Audio, there really friendly/good people (saw Troy at the show, and he gave me some pointers) but some of the ppl on teamolskool.com have been helpin me out and at an generous price too... I know a shop has to make money, but I'm just a poor Airman ya know lol.
