everything is wired correct. went over all the wires. nothing is shorting out and the amp isn't going into protect. i do get dimming. however, if im driving down a straight street nothing happens for the most part, but if i hit a bump or turn the sub wont bump until i lower and then raise the volume until it hits again. too much power? i have no idea.

i had two 12's recently hooked up and just put in this 15. the volume goes to 35 and i like to put it at 30-32. but when i reach that it just stops and my speakers sound distorted. i have a feeling its too little power because all my wiring is fine and nothing is lose and im wired at 1ohm.

id like to get a kinetic battery and do a big 3 but i cant afford that really and even if i do i cant upgrade the alt cuz i def dont have the money for both. im just so stumped why it cuts off.

A new battery, a big 3 up and a new alt isn't going to fix your current problem(s).

If it stops playing when you hit a bump it has to do with a lose connection.

The problem may not even be in your amp or wiring it could be in your headunit..

You need to start at ground zero troubleshooting this...

radio is getting to hot and over worked. mine does that in this texas heat if i wang on it for too long on vol. 31 outta 35

no its actually not getting over heated. basically heres the run down of my system:

new 15'' alpine type r 2000watt peak

mtx mono block amp. 1800watt peak

kenwood ktv 613 hu (seperate brain is wired inside my trunk)

4g wiring.

a good ground

i know for a fact the head unit doesnt have anything to do with it.

idk. its dumb asking it on here and i hate to do it but im stumped. ill just figure it out myself. just wanting to see if anyone else had this exact problem

If you're quoting peak ratings then I know what your problem is. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

im not running more watts than i should. if anything im lucky if im reaching 1500 watts at most. im just saying how much the system can handle before it blows. it was stupid to come on here and ask when no one can see it in person to get an answer.

how are you even at 145db? like seriously, thats enough to blow out the windows man!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No one can respond if you give us shit info //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

Peak ratings, no model numbers, etc. Give better info or GTFO

P.S.

Where's your score princess?

have you checked your remote wire?
yes sir. everythings in tact. im going to take it to a shop and have the one dude check the amp. i checked over everything today and im thinking maybe the amp has something to do with it.

jpexpc: i dont need a score to prove myself to anyone. if a person sits in my car and hears the music clearly and the bass real low and says wow thats loud, i feel i did a good job setting up a system. especially when i can step out and not hear a single rattle anywhere. if you wanna brag you got a loud system to me sweet i bet it is louder and i could careless. but just remember, more than half of the people on here will still put you to shame. i hope you can handle that //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crying.gif.ec0ebefe590df0251476573bc49e46d8.gif.

You're a trip man. You brought my stereo into this conversation. I will go ahead and assume that if you're running "peak power" in your ride and run your volume at 32/35 that your stereo sounds like shit. Sorry........anyone that loses their sound when they turn a corner and needs to ask a forum what their problem could be probably shouldn't be talking smack to someone who actually has something to put up. If you're going to quote ISBL ratings for your equipment and dive right into criticism when someone requests better information from you then I would recommend you find another forum. The only reason my score is posted is because I got flamed when I estimated my stereo to be 145db's prior to being metered.

Either way, good luck fixing your problem.
