I like inverting things so I can look at everything from a different view. When it comes to subs though, I don't want to see the magnet/wires.

Depends on the driver.

actually, you gain a bit of cone area going with regular because you are loosing at least the SD of the voicecoil. but most cases, inverted looks cooler imo (like eclipse Ti or the uberwoofer)

LOL, yea thats an actual quote. He's a bit odd. Oh, I'm not really asking for my purpouses, i was just wondrin what yall run. I always have, and probably always will run invered, except with cheap azz ugly baskets/mags. Bwuhaha=evil laugh. I don't no why i chose that title, but i was abel to get a responce wasn't I?

The cone area of the driver does not change with mounting direction. You won't gain or lose anything short of a tenth or two of airspace within the enclosure itself.

Tirefryr, Think about how much volum a subwoofer occupies. By inverting the woofer you gain all that free air space inside the box. esentialy making your box bigger.

I have done both with the same subs and had a hard time telling any diff. Here was my wall in a protege 5 with the Kove Armagedon u-2 series subs.
