So I've found a 12" w6v2 that is supposedly in mint condition for $160. I'll be picking it up tomorrow unless someone can change my mind.

I've been lookin into the 12" BM's that are in the for sale section for 125 + shipping. Which one would i be happier with? Or even a 10" BM

Power? Off of my md2. I think I am going to get something smaller cause it might be a lil too much for the w6.

Box? Probably what the manufacture recommends.

too bad ur not local...theres a guy with an Alpine Type-X for $70

i picked up a pair of Diamond Audio D3's and only use one 12 for my daily setup off of a PDX 1.600...paid $75 shipped on ebay BNIB. off of the PDX and ported 32Hz@2CuFt it sounds close to my W6 off of a 500/1 and sealed. but if you are gonna pick one up that cheap go with the W6.

its subjective since the Diamond is in my HHR and the W6 is in my Lexus GS300

two different cars, different amps, different boxes.

I have a JL 12" W6v2 D4 sub too. waiting for my enclosure, wiring, and still looking for a mono amp to power it. i can't wait to install it....probably by next week.

ahaha we are local. lets hear each other's set up. are you going sealed or ported. i'll go one and you go the other and we'll see which sounds better.

don't have experience with either (I am trying to decide on sub myself), but from the ROE 12" challenge, the BM got louder and the W6 sounded better. However, the BM was ported while the W6 was sealed. But from their perspective, the BM does sound good, just notch below the W6.

I already have apline type r SPR-17c components up front powered by a RF P400.2 amp, RF 1694c 6x9 4 ways speakers in back, powered by a MRP-F250 amp. and a Kenwood KDC-MP832U head unit.
