firefox still has features that ie doesn't have...
open source freeware plugins are the shiznit.
when using firefox, i always used fasterfox, which has some cache and registry tweaks to enable faster page loading. and splitlink automatically seperates those fake links (mostly in **** sites) where you'll have to click the link several times to get to the web page you actually wanted. it parses the link several times, and automatically reroutes the link to the true web address, so it goes to the real page the 1st time, although it needs to be turned off when browsing pages with javascript links.
and the integrated downloader is very very nice, as well as DTA! which is a free plugin that replaces the firefox download box, and has accelerated downloads by splitting the files into chunks, and downloading all of the chunks at the same time.
I do, and will, miss those features. But for 99% of my web browsing, there's no substitute or stability, and having pages load correctly and accurately the 1st time, with no glitches. Firefox continued to crash every now and again, or not close the actual ffox.exe script from running, forcing me to have to manually end the task in the program manager.
Also, the fasterfox plugin DID accelerate some sites, but used in conjunction with splitlink, it would sometimes crash my router when browsing pages with TONS of links (splitlink splits all of the links upon the page's loading, it doesn't wait until you actually click a link)
