Today marks my 14th straight day working, and I have 3 more days to go till I get off. To top it off, our full time salesman went away, so I've been doing installs as well as selling on the salesfloor. I am to the point where I will beat any customer that gives me shit with a screwdriver. I can't stand the idiots that come into CC and shop back here. And yesterday must have been "Let's go to Circuit City and have them fix their old ****ups". I had 4 cars in the shop that were there solely because one of the 2 prvious idiot installers here ****ed them up. Then, I have people coming in at 5 PM and whining because they can't get their radio installed because I have 4 cars in the shop and I'm supposed to leave in an hour. I hope they all get herpes.

::::end rant::::

Shocking lol.

The best is when people come in at like 7-8PM and want an alarm installed. Then get pissy when we tell them that either the shop is closed (most CC's close shop around 6PM), or that it's too late to do the install..

The best is what happened to me yesterday. Some guy came in giving me an attitude because he claimed he called the store that morning and we said we had something in stock which we didn't. Little did he know, that our phone lines had been out since the night before. He left walking away looking like an idiot/

I've had a few people ask for whoever is in charge of the roadshop. I tell em you're looking at him //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif. As far as customer relations I handle people really well.

I just can't stand the blithering idiots that come in here.

well, i guess i understand where you're coming from, but i hate it even more when i myself walk into CC and the workers there are either acting really arrogant, or just like plain assholes. they think i don't know shit, and they try to dumb everything down...this is only because i stand there quiet, thinking how the hell this place is successful with monkeys working on cars...

word.. x28023842390.

I'm sure your not one of them though snova. I've had those weeks. Worse thing is, when it hits that last day it will seem like you've been there all day +overtime.

oh well, just party. Get drunk, buy some shit you want, but really don't need. Enjoy.

We've actually got a good group of guys working here. I've been here longer then all but 1 of them now and they are all cool guys. They know that I know what I'm talking about, and they listen to what I say for the most part. I've never really come across any of them trying to act like they know everything when they don't. We really don't get too many customers coming in here that know a ton though. I've had a few customers come in that I can tell know what they are talking about- one guy came in telling me he needed a replacement amp for his old school Xtant amps and he seemed shocked when I told him I had a few Xtant's in the trunk at the time. I spent an hour talking to one customer about Soundstream because he was telling me about his system 10 years ago //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif.

Some customers are just assholes though, that don't have the slightest clue of what they are talking about, yet they are convinced they are certified installers. I did a radio in a 1980 Oldsmobile and the kid got mad at me afterwards because when he installed the radio it stayed on even after he turned the car off. I had to explain to him that I installed his radio the proper way.

Some people are just ignorant.

Today I decided I'm not doing any installs unless it's a REALLY easy job. I pulled my truck in the shop and started gutting all my wiring and cleaning it up. Had a few customers come in so far and I've told them I've got this truck that I'm gonna have here all day //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

What kind of truck did you end up with? I must have missed the thread.

Also, I have an idea on how you feel. I only work 8-5 m-f but I have not had any vacation in over 2 years. Its great when others around me get wekks off and I have to cover for everyone. Finally after being laid off I will have 2 weeks coming in November, but company policy states that I cant take vacation from nov to dec. Looks like I will have to wait until January. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

Still got my old truck- still saving for a new one.

Next weeks paycheck is gonna help a lot too- ~115 hrs in 2 weeks, 35 hrs of overtime= //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
