I'm having troubles with Integra doors...

Hey, crew!

Anyway...

I'm working on a '92 Integra LS.

I tried to take the door panel off, and it wouldn't come off. I tried sliding it off, but nothing. I got the bottom part loose, but it seems to get caught on the top top part. As in, it kind of seems like the window sill is stopping it from coming off.

Anyone with Integra knowledge that can help me out?

Also, how the hell do I get the wire into the door? There's a gromet, and that goes down but then there's like a plug that's covering it. I remember reading that when that happens you have to take it out and drill holes through it... but... uhh... wtf?

i had a 91. you have to pull up on the doors. they will come off. just dont be too rough.

I had an 89 and it was reletivly easy. I believe there was a screw in the middle that was kind of hidden, once you got that, it slides right up and off. Yeah, it sounds like you missed a screw IMO.

Edit: I think it was in the upper part of the handle/armrest, behind a panel.

No, I checked, and there was no screws missing.

The whole thing kind of pivoted when I pulled it up.

It made a shape as such:

/| with the / being the door panel and the | being the door itself.

Like the whole top part was connected.

And does anyone know how to get wire in there? I was thinking of just carving out a piece of the gromet, and drilling a hole in the door then covering it with heatshrink/tape.

being the scammer i am, make sure you disconnect the all of your wiring for power windows, locks, and that jazz. there should be a screw behind the door handel if i remember correctly. give it a little more pressure like when you put your weiner in another mans butt. you gotta do it just a little harder for it to pop on off.

Alright. I will.

The car isn't mine, so I can't do it now. But, I was tryin' like the dickens and it just wouldn't come up.

Since it's not my car, I've been trying to take more precautions not to break anything.

So, there's nothing special I need to look out for, right?

Just wanted to make sure before I destroyed the door. ^-^

on my 92 integra i had to pull up really hard to get the door panel off. i even asked one of the other installers at my work to double check.

I have to bring this thread back from the dead...

How do I deal with those plugs inside the door?

Do I take them off and drill a hole through them and run the wire through that?

(They're little plugs where the grommet from the car meets the door.)
