How's it going fellas.
Well, when I bought my truck (1997 dodge ram)
All it had was a clarion stereo, the harness was cut. But for a few months I had hooked up just 2 speaker boxes to keep some tunes going, But recently I had bought a new adapter to get all the speakers working, keep in mind I'm not that stereo smart.
But every wire is color matched, I have it grounded.
Now just the other day the stereo started to get REALLY hot. So I just unplugged everything.
The speakers are all factory.
The truck did have an amp installed because I can see all the previous wiring ran, but it's all cut out.
So now, when I'm trying to plug my stereo back in all I hear is a loud crackling noise in the rear left speaker, and the back of the stereo will start to get really hot.
This is driving me insane, I check all the speakers, nothing is grounding out.
Any suggestions?
