Ok, im in the market for a new system. I am leaning towards 2 12"s. I was thinking about getting ascendant's arsenals. They are 750watts and dvc 4 ohms. If I were to get a mono sub how would I go about finding out the appropiate wattage to look for in an amp.

Ive never had a dual setup before. Please help.

And what would be a decent amp for this setup around 250-300.

1 dual 4 = 2ohm or 8ohm final

2 dual 4s= 1 or 4ohm final

for an amp, i think a HCCA2400 would be sufficient for a single or double sub setup (double will be slightly underpowered)

you can get it from the HCCAfan dude for 300 shipped. comes with a 1 year warranty.

so if an amp says for example.

1200 watts@1 ohmx1 ---that means each sub gets 600 watts?

It gets that most likely at its peak power. You need to look into RMS.

Look into an ED 9.1- plenty of power, and youll get a three year warranty.

im talking about the rms of the hcca2400 that was recommended as an example and the rms is 1200.

just look at the RMS of an amp. (alot of amps are underrated, meaning they'll do more than rated power anyways which is usually a good thing).
