I'm conflicted! :/

My current setup is a 12" Bl running off 750 watts is a single cab dodge. The box is MDF made to about 2.4 cubes, and tuned with a 3" aero port to 30 hz. I've been wanting to make a fiberglass box for a while, so now I've decided to sell my sub for something better. I've been looking at the 15" Bl and running it at 1500 because my max mounting depth is about 8.5" and that would be just reaching that point, and I would like it for the lows. However, would it be a better decision to get a BTL 12 and run it at 1500? I would save some leg room by going with the 12 because I would have box made almost entirely out of fiberglass so that will save space by getting me more cubes with less external space. And the look of the new BTL's are just plain awesome, and I'm sure it would get very loud.

And btw, the new box would have a 6" aero port, not the 3" I'm using now. And I'm currently hitting a 138 sealed up.

For electrical I will be adding another big battery, and doing the big 3. I already have 1/0 installed so that's not a problem.

So could somebody tell my which would most likely be a better option for getting low and loud? (I'm not worried about sq, so that's why I have the BTL as an option).

If possible, put the 1500 watts on the BL you have now.

Well I stupidly ordered it d1 so it's gotta be at 2 ohms. I tried .5 and it didn't act too happy. Haha. So I can't put 1500 to it, because my amp makes that at 1 ohm. So I'd probably just get a d2 btl 12 so it'll get 1500. Anything after that is gonna call for major electrical upgrades, which I really don't want to do. 1500 is just fine for me.

Or I'd like to know if there would be anything better I could run at 1500 that would cost the same or less than a btl? Like maybe a DP with the sale going on right now. Or possibly the nightshade since they are also on sale now for 285.

And if someone could supply a REAL picture of the new 12" BTL that would be great. Not the one from the Fi site. Haha.

thats really not very much port for a box that big.

id build a new box for the sub you have now before going bigger.

But the whole point is to get louder because I can. I can't feed my sub any more because 750 is all it's got at 2 ohms, and I'm not gonna sell my entire setup to get louder when I can just get a D2 sub and fufill that. I will build a box for this sub for the time being that's about 2.5 cubes with the 6" aero port for a single 12, in hopes that someone will buy my Bl so I can get a better 12. I know once I make the box for my Bl it will be louder, but getting a new sub that will recieve all 1500 is my main objective.

bump. I'd still like some opinions on what to get. I'm leaning heavily on the BTL 12, but the nightshades that are on sale for 285 would save me about 100. Then again I know the BTL will pound.

Been doing a little research but I'm not really sure. I heard the HDC3's are just 9500's. Is this true? And I after reading the review about the HDC3 above, would it be worth paying 230 for the HDC instead of 400 for a BTL?
