do you think my equipment is capable of 148+? ive actually had someone tell me that they cant even see me hitting a 142 sealed at the dash even though my dashboard itself flex's and i can see my wipers vibrating around

It's not an easy score to do sealed up (148), but it's VERY feasible for outlaw. 142's are cake, whoever told you they're not is retarded.

Opening your door could be illegal.

What head unit do you use?

Once you find your note, you can do a volume roll.

Basically, play your note starting at low volume and slowly turn the volume knob up until you reach your peak volume setting.

The TermLab takes 2 seconds to read so you want to play for at least 2 seconds. I have seen .5 dB gain in doing this sometimes.

you also have a trunk car. there hard to get loud. but ive seen an impala with rear firing subs pull a 150 so who knows. and i dont think u can take all of the back seat out. u might be able to take the back rest out but the bottom and the rear dash might have to stay in place.

Alpine uses a mute roll.

You can set you volume at 21 then push pause and mute.

When your run starts, just hit un pause and it will play on mute, then unmute it and let it play for 2 seconds.

Test this vs. just a straight burp and see the difference.

Alright so i found out some details about the show today

there are going to be two seperate events

one is a Legit SPL Comp, but the problem is that there are NO CLASSES, so basically its Overall 1'st through 3'rd, so if someone shows up with a wall of eight 15s right behind the front seats then thats what i have to go up against, pretty stupid but whatever, its all luck pretty much, just gotta see who shows up i guess

and the second is something they called "Street Bass Competition", basically what they said is that they line all the cars up and all the cars play music and whichever one seems louder outside of the car wins, again seems retarded but whatever

Yeah definately, I took my car to Traffic Jamz yesterday to see if i could get any pointers, its a local car audio shop around here thats run by Chris Crompton, hes been in car audio magazines, has done show cars and has had his installs featured in magazines ETC aswell as competing in DB himself in USACI, so hes a pretty legitimate guy that knows whats hes talking about

Had him take a look at my system, got some pointers from him for the competition and he told me its hard to say but would expect my system after hearing it to be in the 148-150 range on the meter

may be different in your car, but i did not have good results subs forward port to the side in the trunk. sub up port back actually worked best for me. that setup could be best for you though, you wont know without a bunch of testing.
