Im Competing next Sat, Any Ideas?

Hey Guys so next saturday August 16'th ill be going to my first Bass Competition, its a local gig around my area so its nothing major, but i know that its going to be metered legit by a Termlab so im hoping to bring home atleast a 3rd place trophy, hopefully better depending what / who shows up to compete against me..

Any ideas what you guys think i should be pushing on a Termlab?

Specs-

2000 Chevy Impala with the rear deck gutted out and the backseat completely taken out so its all as open airspace as i can get it while still having a trunk car

A old style single 15" Fully Loaded Fi BTL

A Externally Aeroported Box Utilizing Four 4" External Aeroports, Box Specs = 3.75 Cubes Net Tuned @ 38hz

A MTX TA92001 Amplifier, has a Birthsheet that came with it that claims 3969W RMS @ 1 Ohm, im running it @ .7 Ohm before Rises so almost 4K Available to throw to it

My car peaks in the high 40's, maybe a 50 even

Im hoping for a legitimate 148 on a Termlab

Open the door on the opposite side of the car that the meter is on.

Open the door on the side that the sub is not on (usually).

If they let you do some testing before the show play with your port lengths.

Yeah dude its suppost to be one of the loudest box designs i can get for my application + its firing into the cabin so im sure that helped some, hopefully it works out good the only downside is that under tuning freq it unloads pretty quick so i gotta keep an eye on my remote gain alot

DO NOT DO A sliding SINE WAVE, one that goes from 90hz-20hz ect... do just a single wave! you might know this, but everyone at my local comp were doing them LOL

Yeah ive never gotten my system metered before, so im hoping to get some meter time in before the competition to figure things out and see what i peak at so i know what to run at the real comp

The R is defiantly a better sub that the L7.

Also make sure that when you are finding your peak frequency don't play at a low volume because your note will change with power.

thats good advice, i always thought you played it at moderate volume to find the note, and then when u wanted your number u just cranked it at that note, so when im finding my note i should just have it full blast ?

Play at a moderately high volume on a sweep (I tend to do a few clicks before full blast) and then look at the oscilloscope to see the range in which you were loudest. Do a couple full power burps for the notes that are in the loudest range. Make sure that your equipment isn't getting too hot because you will lose a few tenths once your amp and voice coils warm up.
