Well, in my state, helmets are not required for any rider over the age of 18 and...ok, if you have a helmet on, then instead of your head exploding, you break your neck...same outcome.

I'm not really negative on them...to each his own...but I'd like the comfort of knowing that if I get into an accident in my Chevy Silverado at a speed of just 20 mph, not only will I survive, but most likely not even be injured...the same cannot be said when straddling a hunk of metal. Just sayin'.

i would most likely survive too. Wearing my helmet, atleast a leather jacket if not full leathers, boots, gloves, and if i dont have my full leathers on i have some sweet lil knee/shin guards.

It is way more dangerous, but as long as you have common sense and act like everyone is out to run you over, its not too bad

I would never be worried about my driving said motorcycle...it's all the other twits on the road that would be driving vehicles that outweigh my little bike 10:1. It doesn't take much for you to end up as a bug smear on someone's windshield. Just sayin'.
