:hello guys i notice the more i get the more i want! is that common with this hobby? lol , my question is i already have a custom bandpass enclosure with 4 x 10" old school kicker solobarics powered by 2 jbl bpx 1100w amps (1 amp to each 2 subs x 2200w rms and they still can hold more ! but i want more im planning to buy a pair of 12" re audio xxx series 4000w peak 2000rms ea !!! i hear good things about these they can take a beating without overheating i am having a custom enclosure made to specs. i wanted to know if those subs will give me earthshaking thunder , storewindow shaking bass like 15"s or 18"s without sacrificing trunk space in my suv the box was originally gonna be 30" w x 22 " deep by 15 "h but i told him to use more width up to 46" w to shrink the deph down to 16" for a total size of 46"w x 16"d x 15 "h and still have the same sound and i will use a 4000w rms amp........will that sound equvalent to 15"s or 18"s ??? remember what they say......its the type of enclosure you use then then the subs then the power...so i figured i cover all grounds : top subs , top box , top power 4000w rms........4 yellowtop batteries and a fifth under the hood and a ho 250a alternator all with 0 ga wire will that be enough?//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif...ps : i will be selling this custiom heavy duty enclosure with 4 x 10 kicker solobarics currenlty handling 2200w rms easilly ! and also 2 x jbl bpx 1100w rms amps , and also a custom 1" and 2" mdf brand new enclosure with a new kicker solo x sub 10" 5000w peak 2500w rms.

It definitely has a snowballing effect for sure. And if youre asking if the electrical will be enough for 4000 rms...I would say youre pretty safe, but I would go another route with the batteries such as xs power, etc.

thanx much pioneer & unk but what is one to do with 4 new yellowtops installed aeven m ade a custom box for them in my 04 armada.........so you say the bass with the 2x re audio xxx 12d2's will sound like 15's or 18's???? cuz my nephew witnessed eathshattering bass from a car then when he saw what was inside his jaw dropped ! , it was only 2 x 10" re audio super subs in a special box !!! so i feel pretty confident these 12's should do the trick i just hate to keep on changing stuff ! may as well do the research and ask around first to be shure thats why im on this wonderful informative forum , are these powermaster batts like the kenetic batts?

i know what u mean flipside believe me i try not to go halfa$$ an anything the enclosure will be top notch 2" mdf......like the one i have laying around to sell is with a kicker solo x its a super heavy duty box its a $400 enclosure......//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

is it made of gold?

lol very funny mazdakid ! its just a very high end enclosure i mean you can get a cheapy one if you like but its like anything else when it comes to enclosures you should not go halfa$$ here check out my friends website and he also has them on ebay : its finecustomworks.com they have lower end more basic enclosures that are less money but still good quality and then they have some sick sounding ones ones so its all up to you , what you are looking to spend and the kind of sound you are looking for. let me know what you think..........i have one of these higher end enclosures with a 10" kicker solo x sub 5000w peak 2500w rms and man that thing sounds like its more than one 15" or a 18".//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

just dont go half a$$ on the box
