I used to not watch it much, but in the past month I catch myself coming home by 10pm just to watch it. It's pretty entertaining. I like to see what they come up with, and that Reme guy is amazing. He builds a whole amp rack/sub box with lights (not a fan of neons though) and everything in a day. It would take me a week. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eek.gif.771b7a90cf45cabdc554ff1121c21c4a.gif

The owner seems like a jerk, but he gets it done in the end, which I guess is what matters. The new season is supposed to start next month, so I'm looking forward to it. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

im looking forward to the next season too, i didn't know there was going to be one //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

He builds them so fast because the few times ive seen the show, they werent very complex. And he had jigs for anything that wasnt "simple". Also their idea of custom sub boxes, are like angled sealed boxes //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

I give you that, but still. He works incredibly fast. I'm sure the reason for his "simple" designs is due more than anything to time constraints thanks to Will telling people the turnaround will be 2 days. I'm pretty sure that if he had time, he could make an amazing setup.

haha right. They do make things look good don't get me wrong, but not much design involved. and as david said they have jigs for everything, With the equipment they use to install the stuff, and how much they can charge 'celebrities' it better look good. Because really the celebrities don't care what it costs so this dude can price jack whatever he wants.

My favorite thing is that nearly EVERYTHING installed is JL. Talk about huge +++ for JL. I bet UA gets product for nearly free thanks to the advertising they do for them.

yea but i like when they did andrew jones' car and put all JBL gear in it. I really like watching Will go crazy on his installers but i do give the installers credit since they go from building a box then go outside and put on a body kit on then back inside to put some screens in.... all in a day

you seem to be quite the JL fan your self (checks sig)
Sub/Amp. Yep, I like my gear. My point is that from what they install you'd think they carry nothing BUT JL there. I'm sure they use other equipment but I'd say out of the last weeks' worth of shows I've watched, only one install didn't have JL speakers. Surely they've got to have something along the lines of Focal, CDT, Seas, etc, etc, instead of the more well known brands.

well, if you have a complete car audio shop with all the necessary specialty tools, even with the upholstery sewing machines, i'm sure you can get pretty creative.... reme only seems, that he is only comfortable and safe in making rectangler boxes and a few small ones that fit in small crevices, that would seem to be his 'safe zone'. What he needs is to expand his mind and think outside of the box, and get into making fiberglass modification like he learned from the other dudes when they built the tony's hearst. The show is suppose to be ' unique ' its hard to give tons of credit when he has the tools to expand to the next level, but only makes rectanglar boxes with covers. but then again his just a worker of a shop thats own by a greedy money person that only makes quick turn-over money from sports stars and alike, so the puppet master tells the puppet what to do. They don't even have a vehicle that represents their store, to say ' here's our skills ' even with the somewhat fame the show has. just my 2 cents..

I think I agree with that completely. My only opposition is that the workers arent' given enough time to show what they can do. I'm pretty sure if they were given enough, they could come up with something stellar. (at least I would hope so). Still, Reme is pretty creative. He comes up with ideas pretty fast and executes them. In his line of work, that's what's needed. So, he's definately good at what he does.
