I'm a idiot.

the avh-x4500bt does have a SLA adjuster, i just keep forgetting to change it. That being said, whenever i remote start the car and then kill it with the brake pedal, it has a tendency of completely resetting my settings in the h/u. Its been doing it for a while now and ive rewired the deck a couple times to make sure that wasnt the problem. I think my car is haunted by an electrical demon
That's really odd. Have you asked Pioneer?

i thought so too, its done it about 2 dozen times over the last almost 4 years (just checked, and i got it on 10.22.13). Its annoying, but infrequent enough for me to kinda forget about it after i fix the settings

and i havent asked them about it because i tried asking them about the firmware update a while back and they were less than helpful

why dont you start off by getting a digital oscope and using facts rather than guessing games when it comes to output? you're competing in sq competitions but forgot about basics

It don't work that way with the MS-8. You let it adjust levels. I have no idea what cuts it made to the EQ so I have no idea where to scope it. You use your ears when SQ tuning not scopes.

you cant use a scope to determine if its still producing clean signal or not? clearly if you're having this problem its a good idea

That's not the issue. As soon as you go to volume 1 you hear the noise floor. Once the music is louder then the noise it's perfect, about volume 5. You can start to hear music at volume 2. The DSPs volume is determing how loud the noise it. It's worse on USB.

It won't be perfect until I can change the HU. So I'm trying to back the DSP off till there is no noise but still enough preout voltage to get enough output.
