if you voted for Barack Hussein Obama

You all just keep believing in the good ol US of A. The country that looks after the rest of the world, but not their own people. So very selfless and humble too.
National pride is pretty universal, no matter which country one lives in. Its ironic people get angry when an American says 'best country in the world', apparently we are self centered unless we say some other country is better than our own. But then, by those standards, your standards, you are also self centered. Or, have you not been trying to convince us how awesome YOUR country is? Hypocrite.

I have better things to do than argue with people.
That would have a lot more meaning, if not for the following...

Over 75% of Canadians live in Ontario and Quebec. They make the decisions for the country. Which is sad, because they have no fawking clue what goes on out west. They say the oilsands is bad, and so is drilling for oil and gas, yet Alberta pays all the other provinces cause they are too fawking poor.
Yeah, yer right it does. We have free healthcare, we have less homeless, lower unemployment, less bankruptcies, less violent crimes......yeah it does bite here.
So apparently when you say you have better things to do than argue with people, you actually mean you only argue using baseless accusations and stereotypes. You seem to only have better things to do when your nonsense gets called out with contrary facts. You should have found something better to do about 7 or 8 replies ago.

Nope...I can admit "my" country has plenty of fackups. Our geographical layout of populous is pizz poor. The country is run by a bunch of people who have no clue what the rest of the country has/does. Whatever Ontario/Quebec votes into office is what will be there. Even if all the other provinces voted another way, they would still lose. And 70% of the people in Ontario/Quebec have never been anywhere in Canada, other than Ont/Que.

But the reason people get angry with Americans when they say America is the best, is because this.

1. You are the only country to waltz into other countries and try to change their government and way of life on a regular basis. Yes there are smaller wars, like N and S Korea, and Vietnam etc. But those have gone on for thousands of years.

2. Your economic situation is not stable, or heading in the right direction. The USA is getting farther in debt every year. Why you say? Because of the amount of money spent on foreign wars/conflicts/interests.

3. There is on average 1.5 million Americans that are homeless. 40% of all homeless men are veterans. So yes the US is a great military power. But by the numbers, they don't seem to look after you once you retire. Why is it that so many people who have served their country, risked their lives for their country....are abandoned when they are no longer of use to the country?

Thats why people look at the states with disdain when they say they are the best.

You speak for a lot of people, bro.

1) We dont waltz, and we are hardly the only country to do what you claim. I agree we should sometimes leave our nose out of other country's business, but would also say many times we are expected to intervene. To name one example, without the US to back it up, the UN is a neutered entity.

Also, its easy for someone living in a country with virtually no military (because they know they can count on US to protect them and their interests) to condemn the misdeeds of another country's military. I could just as easily suggest Canadians are self centered pricks for not spending the money or man power that we do to help on a global scale. But unlike you, I realize the situation is more complex than that.

2) Why would people in other countries be angry at Americans for having an unstable economy? Hmmm... maybe because so much of the world depends on our economy, at least in part? Nobody gives a shit how strong the Canadian dollar is. Why? Because you are a relatively small economy with much less impact on global economics.

Furthermore, I find it ironic you recently accused me of not understanding global economics, based on this most recent reply of yours.

3) Yes, Im sure American's in certain areas of the world must hide their identity because people wish them harm due to our veteran benefits. Do you realize how fucking stupid you sound? Of course you dont, because you ARE fucking stupid.

Care to refute any of the facts and figures from my other reply to you? Of course you dont, because you are too insecure to say you were wrong. Its easier to just change the subject and continue to act like a know-it-all. As I said before, do Canada a favor, never have children.

About ten (maybe more) years ago me and the mrs. went to Montreal for a long weekend and I bought a ton of new clothes. I was getting $1.60 CDN for every US dollar at the time, and I used my debit card. When I got home I had spent about $500 and had a new overcoat, two suits, a couple pair of slacks, some cashmere sweaters, etc. I got a sales tax refund of about $200 at the duty free shop at the border on the way back home, which I immediately blew on booze. The US Customs guy looked in our car, and out of all the new clothes in the back seat and the trunk full of booze (we were driving my wife's 80s era 300 SD, so there was a *lot* of booze in there), the only thing he questioned was a gift wrapped box of chocolates.

Another time she had a convention in Quebec City, and we stayed in a killer room at a guest house in the Old City (Cap Diamant I believe it was named-about two blocks down from the military fort) for about $75 US per night. I also went to Whistler for a five day ski trip once, but that wasn't so cheap. Killer snow storm, though.

That's when Canada was great.
