Over the past few weeks, I've been tortured by pictures of these rare TC prototype drivers floating around the boards and I wanted them very badly, but I wasn't in the position to purchase them until recently. Actually, I still owe audio_phill a Benjamin on this deal but he knows he'll get his. Anyway, I've finally taken possession of them and I thought you guys might like to see the actual motor and coil on these beauties. Coil has a WW of 89mm but the massive copper sleeve gives the system a low inductance of just .967mH! The 3HP top plate has been cut down to a height of 25mm, from the stock height of 35mm. This, in conjunction with the absurdly long coil and low inductance, gives incredible linearity over a very long stroke for a standard motor system (as opposed to LMS or XBL^2 types).
