Tiger style?
Nov 10 - According to the Newark Star-Ledger, Gary Sheffield has resumed his campaign to interfere with the Yankees' plans to trade him, but it's not going to work. In fact, there are indications the Yankees have made progress toward sending Sheffield to the Tigers.
An official with one of the teams involved said Detroit was "very interested" in acquiring Sheffield and had had multiple conversations about a deal recently. It was unclear what the Yankees would be getting in return, though the official said the Yankees were seeking "pitching, but that could mean starting or relief."
The Indians, Padres, Astros and Cubs are also believed to be interested in the outfielder.
