i would want some to fit fiberglassed enclosures in my matrix, roughly .5 cu ft for each eight. I would be able to fit four of them. They would be very efficient (maybe 200 wrms or less a piece) and would still hit the lows with authority (for eights)... What are common drivers on the market right now that can do said act.

 
If you have that much space, I know several good 8's need about 1 cu ft. For 0.5 cu ft for each 8 look online to see if you can find some Focal Audiom 5WS Utopia's. It's their 5" woofer. If you put either 2 or 4 of those together you will be amazed at the bass.

 
with that space why not two DD 1508's with about 400 each //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif I've had two DD 1508's doing a 150+ in the crx....and 4 doing 153+ those were systems tuned at 40hz...but if you want to run 4 in that space with that power the new RE8's would be something to maybe look into....
