I had a 12'' ported in 2.0 tuned to 27 hz built by James Bang with around 300watts and it was one of the best ported sub I've heard personally. I would say that it sounded really dynamic. For that 10'' you can go 1.5 - 2.0 tuned 28- 34 if ya like. Great sub man. oh bigger box's "usually" gives more low end and a flatter response.

basically all i'm asking is,looking at the subs specs would it perform better in a ported or sealed enclosure?

i would say that they perform better in a ported enclosure, and if it was up to me, i'd choose the specs for a 'large' port on that spec sheet.
