IDQ for SQ?

Alright, so I've been planning on getting 2 idq v.4 12's for the back of my xterra. My main concern is sq, and from what i've heard idq is a pretty safe bet. But I have a few questions lol. First off, I listen to mostly metal/rock, and also reggae, but I do listen to the occasional rap, so I was wondering how you guys felt about it, since I'm still new to car audio, and haven't actually heard the idq's in person. For the faster bass in my metal music, do you guys think 2 12's would keep up, or would it be safer to go with 10's instead of 12's? By the way, I was planning on running the 2 12's on a PPI S2000.1D at 2 ohms, what do you guys think? Also, I know they're not ridiculously expensive, but I don't exactly have a whole lot of cash lying around, so do you guys know of any other subs similar to the idq's but perhaps, a little cheaper? I'm kind of deadset on the idq's right now, but if you guys know of anything nearly as good, if not better for a little less, than I'm all ears. Again, I am mainly concerned about sq, but I was planning on putting them in a ported box, so they're still loud, but still keep that sq I am going for. Any help or advice is greatly appreciated, if anyones interested in possibly helping me figure out a few questions I have on the box, please pm me, thank you all very much.

I'm in the same boat as you actually. I posted a thread for nearly the same thing only using one sub because I have a small hatchback and think 2 would be overkill for me. FYI, I listen to basically the same kind of music and on occasionally some Pink Floyd etc...

T2 has recommended these to me. At first I was thinking the JL due to it's price but now I'm having second thoughts about going with the ID instead...

First sub size doesnt determine if it can keep up with certain types of music.

Second IDQ's will sound great, the Dayton HF or HO subs should be able to keep up for less though.

Alright, thank you guys! What do you guys think of PPI? I haven't heard too much about them, but i was wondering if that S2000.1D would be good and clean for 2 IDQ's?
That amp should work fine. How's your electric in the Xterra? Even at 2 ohm you're going to be pulling around 1300 watts. You should at least do the Big 3 and run 0 gauge wire (might think about an extra battery or 2 as well).

As of right now, it is still OEM. But I will definitely be doing the big 3, and most likely running 0 gauge wire. I will decide from there if I need a new battery or not lol. Do you think I will need a HO alternator after all of that?
