they are well respected as GREAT sq subs...but will get very loud while doing it. As for comps...?? you looking for SPL??? there are better subs for spl purposes....in an SQ comp it would be a great choice IMO. peace

EXACTLY! i'm just saying if u want to compete in SPL and use this as an SPL competition driver....their is better out there for strictly comp SPL purposes. It's a great driver...and i def. wouldn't mind having one...it's great for SQL purposes and good daily driver or SQ competition subwoofer. peace

my idmax will get loud and it sounds good while doing it. i use to believe that their are such thing as "SQ subs and SPL subs". but which will be louder displacement-wise?(take out installation and compare driver only). if they both displace the same amount of air, then how could u tell which one is SQ and which one is SPL? one may sound better than the other, but that doesn't categorize the sub at all. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

not to mention the idmax holds a record (dunnno if they still).

I am very very impressed with the sub, excellent all arounder, if I was building a daily driver, it would probably be at the top of the list for me for the single sub set up, and probably push it with a Zapco or Arc amp to get the full potential out of it

please show me some sites were i can get the best deal on these subs . also for daily driving would u recomend 1 OR 2 sub setup. and how do these compair to thePower-Acoustik fubr or mofo series. and last are the Power-Acoustik amps any good

eh..if u asked earlier i could have gotten u a brand new idmax v3 d4 for only $260+shipping (full warranty) instead of the regular 450. oh well..time has passed
