I can get one of these new for around $265, and was wondering if how they compare to similiar high end 1000W rms subs like sundown, DD, mmatts?

I can find a Type X for around the same $ but thinking the ID would be better

Im looking for a pretty loud sub that can get pretty low and also have decent SQ in around 2.25cuft at 34-36Hz.

Thanks for any help or addvise

That is an incredible price for a brand new one. Though I did sell a re-coned one, that never seen power for $190, but I got *****... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

It will kill a Type X for sure. Is one of the best SQL subs ever made. Would say if you go sealed, you are save with giving it 1100 or so. If you go ported, I would stay around 800-900 watts. Though I have heard more, just has to be clean power.

The only thing is the personal definition of "loud" to the OP.
Quantity will solve that. They are very efficient, so off of that 900 watts or so, they will get pretty loud. Would love to run 4 10s, or 2 10" XCONS //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Thanks guys, I be giving it 700w at 4ohms to break it in then I may try to hook each coil to my 2 Megaloud giving it 1200w of really clean power. A friend of mine can scope each amp.

Loud bass to me is when you start to think about upgrading your speakers.
