Idmax 10s and SI BM 10s

I'm trying to find out what I can expect between running a pair of SI vs the IDmax v3.

I have no experience with either one of them.

Someone is offering me a custom reconed version of the BMS but I'm not sure if the output would be where I want them to be as far as spl is concerned. I know the are sq subs so...

Would the Bms at least be louder than the IDq v3s

Oh i forgot to mention. I will be running them off about 600-800 watts. Unfortunatley I already had the box built for the IDMax/q but looking at the reccommended box specs they are very close to the same...

SI makes a great product , but I would prefer the IDMAX over the BM, just my opinion, but I would think a BM and the IDQ would be similar in output , or at least marginal in difference between the two in equal installs.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

yeah i really want to try the idmaxs but can't find any in my price range.

the bms i was told was a custom recone by jacob fuller.. I have no idea who that is but from the looks of it the output should be a little greater. It's 175 shipped for the BMs.. so..

this is an excerpt from his post:

"Product:

Mms: 124 grams

1.5 ft^3 ported tuned to 30 - 35 Hz for high output"

I'm being asked 175 shipped for them. I really want to try the idmax myself but the cheapest i found them is 500 for a pair but on top of that i'd probably have to buy another amp for them.

I have not heard the SI'd but i own ID subs and they are honestly the cleanest hitting subs i have ever owned. I have had JL, MTX, Kicker, Alumapro, TC sounds, RE, Eclipse and the list goes on.

ahh ok so it's safe to assume he'd know what he was doing. I've have red that the si mags had considerably more output than the idmax but it was older model max.

Well i guess i should make a comparison to what i have heard.

I've had an older RD elite 12 ported on 800 rms

3 RD alpha 15s the older model sealed on two 1750s

an RE SE 10 07 model ported on 400 rms

an MTX 9515 the first model ported on about 1200 rms

ive heard two cvr 10s

two older model rd classics

and right now i'm running 2 american bass dx 10s on a box built for idmax 10s on about 400-500 rms

I'm looking for something louder and as clean as anything I have up there except the alpha's lol

if your asking which sub is louder, go with something else. getting some nice sq based drivers and trying to make them loud ist how you want to go about it. but then again it has been done. but its all about the install. dont fret over a small decision so much, focus on the build.

it's not that i want loud loud i just want the louder of the sq subs. I would go with something else if i was juts looking for loud but been there done that. And I got an audiophiles ear unfortunately which makes me somewhat of an oddball in the area i'm in now.... Well I guess I already was because I don't get jl, fosgate, kicker and any other big box stuff anymore
