I have the RE8 for a while, swap it for the ID8. ID8 is more musical. Hit as low (depend on your install). The ID8 can handle a lot of power. I am running 1 ID8 8ohm with a Alpine PDX 1.600. I plan to install another one. If you listen to more hip hop and Rap, RE8 would be great choice. I listen to wide range of music, I like the ID8 better. I don't agree that ID8 is more of a midbass. The old IDQ8 yes, ID8V3 is as much as sub as any other 8" out there. Just ask these guys.
