i'd like to buy a radio

i want a radio because my last one i had troubel wiht it. it started making funny noise and then it evaporated. do I nedd a bass for my radio? I went to the store to buy a walmart brand bass and sub but i don't know what to do with them.

It all depends on how you listen to your music. Do you play a lot of CD's or tapes? I think that you will find that most aftermarket headunits don't have the power to put heaps of bass into speakers and it is definatly not a good idea to run subs off head units. For starters it will sound like crap and it will most likely blow your headunit up. I don't know much about buget American brands but from my exsperience on this forum, Walmart isn't one of the best subs to buy.
