edit: nvm, i thought it was for 2 12s for some reason lol. That should be alright except i would make the port not so tall/skinny

you want to keep the port ratio 8:1 or less, 16.5 x 2 is 8.25 x 1. Its not that far off, but id like to stay within the rule.

as far as airspace and tuning go, what do you want it to sound like?

your first box, 3 @ 28hz will do great for the 187. just make the box an inch shorter and however much deep to compensate. that way you are within the 8:1 ratio and the box dimension really didnt change much at all.
