The Awt was the best sub Assbahn ever made. It would eat the alum q alive. They get loud and have plenty of excursion for the lows. If you want it to be heard outside the car, you should quit car audio.

"i have a awt12x mounted in a ported enclosure tuned at 35, audiobahns recommended specs. powered by ( i know underpowering) boss riot 1500d monoblock.the subs 2ohm dvc wired up in series( cause my amp cant run a 1ohm load). its loud inside the car(2002 jetta 1.8t)but you can hardly hear the bass outside. other than giving the subwoofer 2000w rms, what can be done so im heard from miles away?lol not really miles but you know what i mean ( soon i will give this beast its 2000w it craves)"

i know my amp is weak. but how can i make the best of what i got? enclosure direction, breakout all my windows, remove trunk lid, upgrade from cardboard box enclosure to maybe 3/4" mdf, you know some pro secret tips.

you should plug it into the wall. it MIGHT get loud then. then you can upgrade to a REAL sub/amp combo.... or even better. plug your shit into the wall, then quit car audio and find a new hobby... Knitting might be good for you. actually, upon reading your posts. takin into account the words you use (splittails, fukin lames, squares) maybe you could sit in the old car seat on your front porch, and maybe whittle yourself a corncob pipe, and flirt with your sister/girlfriend..... remember- redneck/hick isnt just a location, its a state of mind

BRO, HONESTLY, FOR THE $380 FOR THAT SUB YOU CAN GET SUCHA BETTER SUB THAT CAN REALLY HANDLE BIG POWER, AND SOUND AMAZING DOING IT.

SOME GUYS ON HERE ARE PRETTY HARSH, BUT THEY ARE TELLING THE TRUTH ABOUT THE SUBS.

THAT IS AN ENTRY LEVEL SUB, AND IT WILL SOUND AS SUCH, NO MATTER HOW MUCH POWER YOU PUT TO IT.
