i want to fix my blown amp

ok well i have a pioneer gm-5100t that blew when a buddy of mine touched the power wire to my battery when it was still connected ... it didnt burn up anywhere on the inside and everything semms ok ... how do i find out what is broke and can anyone help me fix it??? i love electronics and would like to experiment with this type of stuff ... i really dont care what i mess up

the only reason I asked is because I have worked with circuit boards before on many gate operators and I understand how the relays and fuses work, but I dont know how to figure out what is blown
