It's only worth what someone is willing to pay.................it doesn't have an guaranteed liquidation/exchange rate. Its only gonna increase in value each and every year....
people pay big monies for rare cars...that one reached over 400gs...more than most new rides you can buy today...so that should tell you something...
Good point.just proves my point. It's only worth what someone is willing to pay. Not what it appraises for or how much has been invested in it.
FYI................. savings accounts, bonds, CDs, etc. go up in value every year. And you don't have to put them on ebay to get your money out of them.

Or you could buy a Corvette? lolIf i'd bought it I'd throw some 20" Classic Cragers on it and some low profiles with a nice stereo setup running Double D's...I figure about four dimes in the can...I'd replace all the gauges with Dakota digital modern gauges....then i'd redo the interior in albino aligator and change the engine and transmision to Z06 running gear with 6 on the tree instead of 4 and turn it into a million dollar car //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/greedy.gif.5a53e6246569d7ab79867170f3b06629.gif
there more than 2 of those still left....Or you could buy a Corvette? lol
This is my dream car, a '67-'70 Chevelle. Drop a 572 in it //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/up2something.gif.dd110ecf3ae4b76050d87598f2f8de7c.gif

You dont seem to have a very good understanding of the situation. Apparently all concept cars are 'bastards' that we should just let die. The reality is, that was a wildly successful concept car, as GM used the design, almost exclusively, when designing the 70's corvette, which sold a lot of cars, and is still a fairly popular body style to this day. Whether or not you, some random nobody on the internet, likes it, or calls it a 'bastard' really has no relevance to its value or significance. So what if there's two left, it was a bastard car that was never mean't to be, so let it die..
Its a car whose value is almost exclusively maintained by rich car collectors. As are virtually every collector car in existence. Precious few concept cars offered much in the way of practicality, and even old muscle cars like chevelles are not exactly practical anymore. I dont think anyone here was arguing this car is worth a half million dollars based on its practicality or usefulness.I can agree about the basterdized Banshee. Much better way of putting it. The reason i wouldn't buy it has nothing to do with it's performance. I can just think of much better ways of spending that kind of cash. To a collector, say Jay Leno, it would be worth every penny. But i don't have the means to "invest" in something that would yield little to no guaranteed return/profit. As you can see by the listing, the people with the cash to buy, aren't beating down the door to snatch it up. My luck, i would buy it and hold onto it thinking it would appreiciate, then have to take a 50% loss just to get out from under it.
Nothing has a guaranteed exchange rate. Not currency, not raw materials, nope not even gold. Nothing. It's only worth what someone is willing to pay.................it doesn't have an guaranteed liquidation/exchange rate.
And every modification you did to it would lower its value, not raise it.If i'd bought it I'd throw some 20" Classic Cragers on it and some low profiles with a nice stereo setup running Double D's...I figure about four dimes in the can...I'd replace all the gauges with Dakota digital modern gauges....then i'd redo the interior in albino aligator and change the engine and transmision to Z06 running gear with 6 on the tree instead of 4 and turn it into a million dollar car //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/greedy.gif.5a53e6246569d7ab79867170f3b06629.gif
