I saw that on ebay as well, very good looking car. Reminds me a good deal of Speed Racer's car. However, I don't think the cost is justified, especially since it's a replica.

True. But if you look at the style and compare it to what was on the streets back in '58, it was certainly one of a kind. Back then all you saw was boxes with massive fins...

it has the toyota 1.8 that was in the 01-05 celica GTS...it is reworked by Yamaha

it is a sweet car but it is very hard to get into or out of them...

im 6'2'' and had a hard time geting out...

Uh, the engine is made by Yamaha and reworked by Lotus, specifically to remedy problems with the oil system at sustained high-RPM situations (i.e. racing) that would cause severe engine damage. They were also able to boost midrange power significantly by tweaking the ECU and timings, and gained 10 bhp due to various improvements to the intake and fuel systems.
