I JUST got my new 6.5 Alpine Xs in today, I was hooking them up when a brushed across a wire which pushed my crimpers and they fell directly on my woofer! I pushed the cone in slightly right in the center!

I FEEL LIKE A FRIGGIN IDIOT, Is there anyway to fix this?

Edit: Picture of the damage...

you talking about the **** in the middle? if you can reach it from the side you might be able to pop it back out. i don't think that it really affects anything though. but thats just a guess...

I thought those were carbon fiber......daaamn man...it looks like there are scratches and dents all over that thing!! let me know how they sound though...need a good review on them
Actually, that's something that's caked into the material, it almost looks like small strands of copper everywhere...

That's a pretty bad one, but like the other guys said; Find a way to stick something to the dent and pull it out, then unstick whatever you used; Duct Tape, a pin with silicon on it, etc.

It should sound fine though, you didn't puncture it right?

Duct tape and Vaccuum FTW!

Thanks guys //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

if all elese fails, take a pin - bend it 90 degrees at the tip. poke a hole thru the center of the dustcap and use the bent part to poke the crinkles up. then use a drop of superglue to seal the tiny hole back up.

and that is a pressed treated paper cone. thats why it looks like it has fibres on it.
