I saw the Davici Code...

* theres some crook dudes not involved with the cops\societies\searchers (old guy and butler in DA, and the thieve guys in NT)

* both involve incredibly important and completly irrelivant monuments\landmarks\history

* both involve random famous people thru history

* both involve the masons

* both treasures had keys to open the vault that were aquired via a family member (pipe key, and the little puzzle tube)

i think those all make sense. definatly EXTREMLY similar movies, but national treasure is quite a bit more far fetched and didnt have any message.

davinci code at least had the message that:

Jesus was a regualr man. Jesus had a father. Jesus had a family. the only thing that jesus did was tell other people his very good set of morals and ideals, and help those who other people passed by. He never claimed to be the son of god, and that the entire church polotical system is more corrupt than any government around.

IIRC, davinci code the book came before national treasure.

Davinci code isnt the only book dan brown wrote similar to this subject. (angels and demons, which I read also)

Just saying, thats all.

I said that when I read davicni code, then a few months later saw national treasure. Cant really say one came from the other tho.

Da Vinci was pretty long and freakin boring for the most part. I liked National Treasure more than the Da Vinci code. The puzzles and stuff in National Treasure were a lot more fun than the Da Vinci code, and all the foreign language parts were really stupid.

I don't think so...he's still a great actor...did a good job in this movie IMO.

Also, was awesome in The Terminal, which he did ~2 years or so ago?
