Guy came in and wanted me to 'finish' installing his system that he attempted to do. He says all the wiring is ran, but he says there's a bad input. When I asked him what he meant by 'bad input', he just said 'yeah, bad input'. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif
I go take a look at it, he's got 3 10"s in a box- 1 old school Kicker Comp, and 2 raggidy Pioneer 10"s.
He has 2 amps- an old Alpine 4 channel, and an old RF 4 channel.
The Alpine 4 channel has 2 sets of RCA's plugged in...that are cut, and spliced into one RCA connection, which is plugged into one channel on one set of RCA's ran from the front. The Alpine is running the interiors. There are a total of 3 speaker wires hooked up, apparently for all of the interiors //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif
Now, the Rockford amp.
For some odd reason, the Power input on the amp is looped to the ground input //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif Once again, cut RCA's spliced into another RCA. 1 speaker wire is connected.
I told him it was the worst install I've ever seen (and I actually said that). Told him if he wants me to do it, I'm ripping it all out, using my own wiring, and charging him $350+wiring.
