see anybody that knows anything about car insurance and how it works would knwo that full coverage would cover taht even if it is vandalism. all u gotta pay is the deductable which is usually 500 dollars depending on the situation. lots of times its worth that 500.

After my car was broken into, I decided against SPL and and looked more into stealth install on my next car. I figure by using false walls and other installation techniques, I can get loud enough, sound good and when people who I "know" see my car, they think it's stock. I think that is the only way really.

The 4th order lends itself to be bolted down without the old screwdriver through the sub routine. It sounds quite nice too.

Did the amp get hot when you had it in the spare tire well? I was thinking of doing something similar to my amps (hiding them in the spare tire well) but I was afraid of water and heat.

Glad to hear it's going to be covered. I got jacked many years ago when I was in high school. Happened in my parents driveway. Was 3 days before I planned on having an alarm installed.

...which made me think...Where'd you buy that two way alarm you were about to install? Local? If so, any of the installers at that place sport'n new goodies? Probably just some punk kid, but might be an interesting direction to look. I've seen more than one case where someone was about to get an alarm, or just did, and then got jacked. Things that make you go hmmm....

One reason to get an alarm installed first before you start putting your shit in. And don't talk about all the wonderful goodies you're about to add. Just say you're paranoid about getting your car stolen.

Sorry to hear about your sh*t getting stolen. But the $50 deductable is cool. Are you thinking about getting an American truck? Definitely install the alarm first because those trucks are easy to break into. My friend's F250 got broken into 2 weeks ago and they stole my phone, his 2 phones, his Valentine radar and some block buster movies. The shitty thing is that it was the employees from the restuarant that we were eating at (his F250 was parked in front of the side kitchen door, which was open the hole time). They didn't even have enough time to close the passenger door. Oh well, my friend hacked halfway through one of their expensive pine trees.
