I phone

Thunderbolt is great if you have the clock tools app.. (rooted) or even the eris with clock tools.. just overclock/underclock as needed.. set it to on demand and you'll save battery life and have a faster phone when you need it to be fast. Fav app, plus adfree, and free wifi tethering.

The battery life is already bad enough as is though lol

Get the HTC Thunderbolt. It's way overpriced and the battery life is terrible, but it's a fantastic phone otherwise...
The battery life is actually pretty good in comparison to any other HTC Andriod phones I have had. I can go all day and only have to charge it once between 5:30 am and 7:30 pm. And overpriced? I pair $223 bucks, overnighted to my door. Great price IMO. But yeah, it is a great phone

It's rated for 5 hours talk time, that's HALF what the iPhone 4 gets.

And that is the most expensive contract price I have ever seen before. Never seen one over $200. The HTC Inspire is the SAME EXACT PHONE, but its on HSPA+ (LTE is superior), the battery life is better, and it costs only $100. So you pay $150 more for the T-Bolt for CDMA, LTE, and worse battery life. How is that not overpriced?

there are better phones for the money.....go with the galaxy s for the red v....
You mean Fascinate? Sorry, but it really pissues me off when people call that and the Captivate the Galaxy S. That's just their line of Android phones. There is a Galaxy S for T-Mobile, and that's the actual name. But otherwise, you're looking at captivate, fascinate, and something else I can't remember. Sorry, just a lil pet peeve of mine lol

the epic 4g is the only one for sprint...i just call them a galaxy s....well because thats what they are...

That should be a fantastic phone, but the 3D is a gimmick, always has been and always will be. And I would imagine that battery life would be even worse, and the battery life on the evo is bad enough already.
ya but after watching all the videos on youtube from various android sites it seems the screen is better then the 3ds and the new lg 3d phone...sounds to be pretty good...plus htc seems to get there updates out better then samsung...i just dont know if i want to wait for the galaxy s 2 for samsung to take there sweet *** time with another update...i did it with the epic i wont do it with the next one...
also the dev community for the evo is miles ahead of the epics...no true CM6/7 is fuckking killing me

OP, just get a $50 iPhone 3GS from AT&T, unless you've got to stay with Verizon. If you have to stay with Verizon, I have no idea what you should get. But I can assure you that battery life is a huge deal.

The 3GS is cheaper than most smartphones, still has 8GB internal memory, and you can jailbreak it. Obviously you can jailbreak an iPhone 4 too, but I wouldn't pay $200 for an iPhone 4 unless you can actually utilize 4G. From your posts, it looks like you just want a good phone. The iPhone 3GS is a good phone. And it's cheap.

HTC Incredible. Everyone I know who ran out and got a TBolt went right back to their Incredible. The incredible rooted with a custom kernel lasts all day + some and its not a slow phone by any means.

The iPhone 4 is not a 4G phone

Like I said, battery life will likely be atrocious.
