i needs new 12's! around 1k watts each

so im upgrading from 10's to 12's. i need 2 of em. i may just buy some mach 5 IXL 12's brand new, but i wanna see what you guys have that you may want to unload.

needs to be dual 2 ohm.

about 1k watts rms (will be running off my zx2500.1)

needs a kinda small box. something like 1.5 ft vented per sub.

if anyone had some RE SX12's that would be a sweet deal.

i dont exactly have a price range in mind. show me what you got.

well id be overpowering them by quite a bit. my amp puts out about 2700 watts.. id be afraid id kill em.

they will handle the power fine they got flat wind and bp power

each will handle 1200 rms nicely just watch your gains

1.5 cubes per 12'' ported is a little small. 12'' Nightshades will work well in that space but not many others will. What about a beefier single 12'' that can handle all of your 2500.1?

havent seen many used nightshades around lately. but as far as a single beefy 12, im looking for more spl, and i think im better off with 2 12's because of more cone area.

If all you have is 1.5 each, id find a single 12 that can handle your power. I don't think cone area will matter much if they don't have a good box.

yeah, but re reccomends 1.5 ft for their "compact" box, 2.0 for "optimal"

so im hoping i would be pretty fine with the compact box

I just sold mine last month for dirt cheap. It was a d2 though so it wouldn't help you, unless you found another d2 and ran both. I really think you'll be better off with a single beefy 12'' in 2.5 cubes vs. two 12'' in smaller boxes. Look into a DC LV4XL or LV5, DD 9512, Mach 5 SPL or something like that if you decide to run a single 12''.

well i got another guy whos got a sx12. so i successfully found 2 sx 12s, but i am intrigued by your idea of a single beefy 12.

i can agree, though, i used to have a solo x 12 in a 3.0 ft box and it was crazy loud. louder than my 2 15 inch l7's in a sealed box

Nice to hear! Your amp would match the X perfect, well duh you know you had one. Just got my 12" solo x last weekend, funny you mentioned the 2 15's...

B4 I got the x i won 2 l7 15s in a sealed kicker box for like $430 shipped on ebay. Was all giggity, guy sent me email right after auction saying he sold the system with his car, I coulda been a jerk about it, but the guy was sincerely honest and tried to talk the guy(car buyer) outta the system-didnt work out tho....so I figured Id get just one x. I have a caddy and still need a little trunk room so I figured 3.25 cu would fit nice. I had the same problem you have, my amp would push the 2 15s to almost max while it will push the x much better as long as the box is good, Plus I can always upgrade to a bigger amp like yours to max it out. I should have mine in this weekend, cant wait! BTW Im only pushing around 1700rms and im hoping the extra .25 cu will compensate for me throwing another 300watts on top of the 3.0 1400rms kicker design...My fingers are crossed, but hey all in all if i dont like it ill just dump a whole whopping $30 for another sheet of MFD and just build another. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
