I Miss My Trunk!!

I just finished and installed my first box, and got a shock when I realized that there is only like 4'' of trunk space left in my 2002 Monte Carlo. It doesn't sit flush with the very back of the trunk, so there is about 1 1/2 to 2 feet of space behind it that is un-used!!!

I just installed this bad boy and I already miss my beautiful trunk. Has anyone else been afflicted with this dilemma? If so, how do you go about curing it??

If you wanted trunk space, then why the hell would you put in a huge box? That's your own dumbass fault.

what you got back there? I built a box for a 04 MC, it fit pretty nice. Maybe redesign your box? I got the box to fir all the way back leaving only the slant of the back seat. Which is where I put the amp and circuit breaker.

To tell you the truth, I really don't know why I made a big *** box, but I just got the urge. And there might not be any common sense in North Dakota, but we do have some good corn and wheat, and that is always good..............

EDIT: I used a Moe Lester plan, so it doesn't have too many corners to it that would help it fit a trunk, it is just a rectangle.

But what I ended up doing is scooting it to one side to have a sort of pocket. Its fit's my bowling ball bag nicely...no jokes on the bag either...

What do you have in the box? What are the specs of the box. Im just curious.

I've got 2 Ma Audio 12'' MA121XQ's(the MA site said the optimum ported enclosure size is 2-something cubes). The box is 4.25 cubes, tuned to 35 hz. The subs ARE sounding a lot better however, seeing as how I had them in a sealed, pre-fab encloser that they came with
