I just want quality.

I want something that's going to be clean and nice.

I also want it to be as loud or louder than two Diamond d3's on 600 watts RMS total.

Probably going to run it off of an Alpine 9847 with a Clarion EQ.

And I know this is the wrong forum to post about normal speakers, but if anyone wants to reccomend some for incredible SQ, please do.

For subs/speakers/amps/box/deck I have about $1800.

Thanks ;-D

Wanting a single sub? Vehicle type? And dont forget to set aside some of your budget for wiring upgrades etc. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Single or double, I don't really care.

I'm putting it in a 1999 Mitsubishi Eclipse.

How much(and what kind) are wiring upgrades going to be?

Watch out, he's going to tell you to buy RE.
I haven't had a stalker in a while, cool.

drzenitram, your wiring upgrade should at least include the "big 3" (involves the alt/battery wiring under the hood) and you'll need some power wire. speaker wire, etc of course. With a small sports car like that, Id recommend a single sub setup. There are plenty of single subs that should provide tons of bas in that little car.

How about a 15" RL-p? What amp would I want to put on that? I don't see any specifications for wattage on it anywhere..

And will I seriously need a new alternator and battery for two amps putting out 1800 watts?

Here's what I'm currently looking at.

Diamond 400.4 50x4(How much difference would I see if I upgraded to 75x4?)

Viper 1200.1

WAS looking at 2 Diamond d6's, but I'm very interested in SQ.

WAS looking at JL 6.5"'s and 6x9s, but I'm sure I can get the same quality for cheaper.

Alpine 9847

Clarion Equalizer with 7v preouts

Im no expert on Rl-p's like other people on this board, but most people seem to run about 500-1000 watts to them. IMO that would be a good choice for a non-mainstream driver.

I wouldn't necessarily say you'll need to upgrade your alt (dont think I said alt in last post anyway), but you WILL want to upgrade your wiring to get the most out of your stock charging system. I just mentioned it because alot of people forget to think about wires and connetors etc when figuring their budget. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

And you can simply ignore sakufan, he's just here to instigate trouble.
