at least AB is producing something. they still havent produced my amp back to me in 3 months now from repair...today was supposed to be the deadline on when i was going to know if i was getting a new amp or not. will be having the dealer call tomorrow...

see this is the thing. I paid over 600 with taxes included for the 120.1. Now the fact of the matter is, I know I could have bought a used 400.1 on the forum for aroudn 680, but instead I bought from a dealer, which gives BOB money...and I have to get a runaround on repair. Bet the competitors don't wait this long. i know noone cares but i will never buy anything from AB ever again.

Yea it might look really close to an HDC3, but how can you say youll take that over ABs sub anyday of the week? Besides being a lil more money you cant say why its better. Props to Matrxx for going a different route than everybody else an trying something new rather than following the pack. Im sure you'll beat on em pretty good a give us a good review.

Thats what I was going to say, I have a set of the Konaki knock offs, I reconed them and they are great now, they were not actually bad to begin with (after regluing the spiders) but i bought them with the sole intent on reconing them.

That motor seem's to be very popular.

Seemed like every other company at CES this year had one of these model subs with their logo on the dust cap. They are all coming from the same Chinese buildhouse. Audio Que took there "Digital Designs" inspired design to a build house over seas. A large part of this was because DD's production has been increasing and had less time to build subwoofers for AQ. As soon as AQ has there products being fully built in Asia you get new subwoofer lines from a few other companies that deal with the same company. Konaki, American Bass, Zapco, & SPL Dynamics. And just for future information, I believe that the build house is located in South Korea...(The same company that builds amps for DD, AB, SPL Dynamics, AQ, & Zapco!!)

It truly is a small world over in Asia !!
