I have gotten mixed answersw... air space.

Well, you could always put blocks of wood inside to reduce the internal volume, but if you can fit a larger box, isn't it logical that you could just shrink the overall size in the first place? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

What you mean? My box I have made, I gave the wrong dimensions on another thread, but my box is 8.73 ft^3. It is 44 x 15.5 x 22. It's a sub box and amp rack all in one. And I knew it was going to be a lot bigger than it needed to be. But I didn't think this much.... *sigh*

What should I do? Can I leave it at 3.27ft^3?

Should I attempt to make it smaller?

It isn't the end of the world.

If you have some time, and some spare wood, just drop the sub in as-is and listen to it. If you don't like the sound, try adding some of the spare wood (a pre-calculated amount, like .27cuft) to the inside of the enclosure and listen again. Still don't like it, try adding more.

Continue until you find the appropriate amount that gives you the performance you want.
