I have finally decided on what equipment I am going to buy. I am going to get two 15" Resonant Engineering SEs, a Hifonics Brutus 1500 watt amp, and a Alpine CDA-9831. I will be putting the subs in a sealed enclosure to begin with and see how I like it. If I want to get louder, I will go ported.

Does anyone have any suggestions on what wire to use? Where to get it? Any other helpful hints for me to get started with. I will be putting this into a 1996 Ford Explorer.

Thanks to everyone who has put up with all my crap. I really appriciate the patience from everyone. Now any suggestions?

They'll be plenty loud in a sealed box. PLENTY.

Although a ported box is better in my eyes, because I love those low tones. I believe that you'll be satisifed with the sealed box either way.

So any help with the wiring? What kind of wires am I going to need to hook up everything including the HU?

wire is wire. it doesn't matter what brand. I'm running walmart wire and it works fine. I think the bx1500 needs a 2awg or a 4awg wiring kit.

Why is Stinger wire so expensive compared to say Wal-Mart wire? I understand wire is wire and I might be paying for the looks but is there a performance difference?

powerwire == powerwire. If anything, get better RCA's, NOT power wire. Oh, and not to be too critical, but don't expect the brutus to put out near 1500 watts, I didn't enjoy my 1000d too much (but please, someone buy it).
