The 3 mounted deer heads, skull mount, 2 racks on plaques, corner full of sheds and turtle shells, 5 turkey tail fans/beards/spurs on plaques and 9 other turkey beards/spurs in my living room seem to fascinate my black room mate and his friends.They are always asking questions about them.

MS has plenty of deer, but we don't grow them like the Midwestern states. Mainly due to harvest practices. Deer just don't get to reach their potential at 5 1/2 yrs of age due to hunters harvesting them at 1 1/2 and 2 1/2.

A 120" buck here is a good one. Here are my two 120" ers.

We have a lengthy gun season. This year the dates are Nov 22-Dec1 and Dec 20- January 21.

One good thing is that MS has a lot of public land to hunt..If you come to MS, I'd recommend coming to where I am at around Starkville.There are about 7,000 acres of land to hunt on in the school forest, and then 40,000 acres to hunt on the Noxubee National Wildlife Refuge. I harvest both the bucks in the pics on these areas. Pretty sure I could get you a deer. Best time to come would be the week before Christmas til about New Years. That is when the rut peaks.

we took my nephew here around perry county for his first hunt. he is 8 years old. we went were we are growing a food plot and his first deer he shot was a nice 8 point with my browning 30 06. hell al i got last year was a doe and a 4 point. it figures

conway arkansas i think i'll be going to deer camp the second week of nov. my father in law has a place north of me. we go up there hunt and drink beer

My beer drinking comes to a halt big time once deer season rolls around. Bout then the only time I drink other than a Thursday night is after a kill. Always at least get me a 6 pack to drink while I clean the deer..hah
