i have a question for wiring subs and speakers

for subs lets say u have 2 dual 4 ohm. u can wire them both down to 1 ohm or 4 ohm final load. could u do one sub in parrallel then the other in series so u can get 2 ohm final load?? on sub is 8 ohm the other is 1 ohm

and for speakers can u hook up 2 4 ohm speakers so i can have 2 ohm. so u can give twice the power to your speakers??

 
I've got 2 SVC 4 ohm subs making 2 ohms (at least I think). Got em wired regular (each at a 4 ohm load) going to separate speaker terminals. When I connect both negatives into the negative on the amp and both positives together into the positive on the amp I'm getting a 2 ohm load right? I hope so... Been running like this for a while. Didn't mean to barge in on your question. Just got me thinking....

do u have dual voice coil or single??
