I have a question about my Focal K2Power 165KF

What's the best AMP for My focal K2power 156KF's? I guess I need an amp for them to sound right?

Here's the story.......

Well I just bought a new head unit. A Pioneer Premier DEH-680MP and the componet K2Power 165KF Focals. I installed the speakers myself.

The question is, why don't they sound that great. They are suppost to be one of the top of the line speakers.

For example, you need to have the volume up pretty loud to hear them, like they are really power hungry or something.

If I turn the volume up all the way, they get distorted. I thought I bought a good head unit. Not the best, but pretty good.

So what's the problem? Why are they not what I expected?

First off, dnt expect many componenets to sound good off deck power. Just search around, and im sure you can find a decent 4 channel amp. Those k2ps are some of the loudest comp sets ive heard.

Im not to familiar with eclipse amps, but that should power them sufficiently.

The 5422 would be more than enough, but it's been discontinued for a long time.

any more comments? Should I save up and by the Diamond D9800.4? LOL.

I am new to car audio and I want an amp that will work well with these componets. Will that Eclispe amp be enough. Or should I go for the Alpine PDX.
