well there are plenty of undergrad degrees you can go to law school with. This one just stands on it's one as a fairly worthless degree, if you planned on making money with it. It would be a great degree for a trust fund baby..

I honestly really enjoy philosophy, and thought about majoring in it, but decided i ought to get something i could actually use if i decide not to pursue a PhD.

Sociology isn't much better, but i know i can get a comfortable middle class social services job with a BA in soc.. not true of philo... so far i still plan on grad school but who knows if i will quit before a PhD.

Agreed... that's sort of why I chose Business, good middle class jobs with a BA but 100k+ with a good MBA (top 25 schools)...

My goal is to work in academia. Ok pay, with plenty of time off and the opportunity for self directed pursuits.

And if i decide to call it quits with just a BA, i know i have a good job in social services starting at 42K with plenty of room for advancement (state job with family connections in administration).

Either way i don't have to feel like i sold my soul/ideals to eat.
