U should work where I work...We practically take back everything and or everything cause or slogan is "yes to any resonable request" So someone wants to return somethin' and it's completley broken and it's been like three month we usually take it back lol

Oh man...left out the best part...this one is good.

I did a satellite radio in an 04 Jetta...they have wireless FM mods, but this chick wanted a wired FM mod...so I told her she had to buy 2 antenna adapters- one into the mod from the stock antenna, and one out of the mod back to the factory radio. Ok, no problem, she pays for em and that's that.

So, I do the install, everything works out good. She's happy, gives me 10 bucks, and is on her way.

Comes back about an hour later, flying up to my bay and screeching to a stop right by my door. Comes in and starts yelling "You didn't hook it up to my radio!!!"

I go...uhhh...yes I did. She keeps saying "No you didn't!!!! I'm still getting static, you didn't hook it up!!!!!"

Me and my manager had to explain that it's still an FM modulator...it still hooks up to the antenna...it's going to get static. She kept saying that her brother's works better and has less static, and gave us a diagram that her genius brother drew up of how it should be hooked up.

My manager goes "uh...this drawing is wrong....who the hell drew this thing?"

She got pissed...and said that we didn't hook the FM mod up to the radio. There are normally 2 wires that hook up to the satellite radio- the antenna, and the power. In this case, there were 3- the antenna, the power, and the WIRED FM MODULATOR!!!!!! She said that it might be a wire that we just plugged in and tucked away and cut.

I insisted that I'd pull out the radio so she could see the FM Modulator installed behind the radio. She said no, that's ok, I just want to make sure I didn't get ripped off.

Stupid skank.

People simply don't understand what it's like to be on the receiving end. If only they could see what it's like for a week, they'd be more appreciative and less retarded...in a perfect world.

Just to show the other side of the story, I walked into a local shop here in nw austin, and asked the salesguy how much to build a vented box for a single 12, and explained I had the plans and cut sheet for the box already, so all they'd have to do is cut the wood and assemble it.

He came back immediately with a quote of $450.. I laughed all the way home, do they really expect people to fork out $450 for 2-3 hours worth of labor and $25 worth of materials? Morons!

I try to stay cheap but atleast I understand that I have to pay to have things taken out of my old ride and put in my new, if I went to installers to put in the equipment. I install my own equipment.

On the same page. I put in a HU for a guy. He calls me about six months later. He says "Hey Jase can you take this HU out of my Silverado and put it in my newer Silverado."

I said "Sure. It will take about a half hour to swich so i will charge you 35 per hour plus parts, if I need any."

He said "What I paid you the first time, I shouldn't have to pay again.

I said "It is now a different project so I will charge you and if you don't like it then go to another installer.

He said "Fine I will."

I ended up putting the system in his new truck. when he found out that other installers would charge 50 for the same job.

I used to work at a shop that got alot of business from customers with more money than brains. For instance an older gentleman pulls up in a brand spanking new s-type jag. Comes in the shop

Salesman: What can we do for you today sir ?

Guy:You guys installed a cd changer in my sons car, and I like it. I want to get a cd changer installed in my car

Salesman: Allright, do you have any particular brand in mind ? We have a couple different models that we can connect via an adapter to your factory radio. Or we have several models that use an RF modulator that will allow you to tune your radio to a preset frequency to allow the changer to play through your factory stereo. We also have head unit / changer combos that would replace the stereo in the dash as well as add a cd changer.

guy: I want just the cd changer connected to my stereo. My stereo has controls on it for a cd changer, wil these work with one you sell ?

Salesman: Yes sir, we would just need an interface.

guy: Sounds good, can you do it today ?

Salesman: sure we're not too busy, if you would like to leave the car with us for a couple of hours. I'm sure we can squeeze it in after lunch.

Guy: Okay, I'll go ahead and call my wife to get me. Then I will go ahead and pay for everything now.

Salesman: Sure, we need to fill out a work order real quick and you will be ready to go.

So the guy picks out the changer, tells the salesman he wants it too be mounted in the trunk yada, yada

After I finished the car I was working on, I went and got the keys and pulled the jag into the bay. This car was freakin brand new, it only had like 30 miles on it. I noticed the factory head unit did have changer controls I believe it was the alpine premium system offered by jaguar, The guy was right about that part. So I popped the trunk to see where we could put the changer so it would be out of the way. I open the trunk and start looking around for the perfect spot. Ahhh, we found it, and so did jaguar. It was so perfect in fact there was allready a 6 disc alpine changer in it...............When the guy came back for his car, I told him the discovery. We refunded his money. Some people are so used to being spoon fed everything, I get people asking for free installations all the time. Apparently they have apprecation for hard work.

Plenty of shops would have kept the full bill and told the guy they installed the CD Changer........
